Two lifelong tennis players are inflating Pontiac’s relationship with the sport with the development of the Wessen Indoor Tennis Club, a $2 million indoor facility with two domes featuring both clay and hard courts.

Landscaping work and the construction of a lobby are continuing at the club, which quietly opened late last year just across the Clinton River from the private Wessen Lawn Tennis Club, a redevelopment of the historic former Hayes Jones Community Center with the same playing surface as Wimbledon.

(Pontiac, MI) Oakland County tennis players will soon welcome a new indoor tennis club to their list of tennis venues. Wessen Indoor Tennis Club, a brand new state-of-the art tennis facility, is slated to open this October in Pontiac, Michigan – just north of the Bloomfield Hills border, near Woodward and Orchard Lake Road.

The new tennis-only club will feature six hard courts, three clay courts, and a bi-level clubhouse with an impressive rooftop viewing area. Owners Brian DeVirgilio and Chris Dobson have combined their tennis accomplishments and management experience to make this club a reality. Wessen Indoor Tennis Club (Wessen ITC) will be the area’s first new indoor tennis facility since 1977.
